Just this last week apple released the HomePod, can it really outshine our current line up of smart assistants? Apple has been working on this smart speaker fro some time now and what is, it’s Siri built in and paired up with your iPhone or iPad and your internet connection all in a speaker. So far at release The HomePod is in theory going to unit all your smart home devices. What I can say so far is the sound is impressive, the microphones it has help orient the sound to where you need to hear it. feature wise it is somewhat lacking compared to Amazon’s Alexa or Google Home. One of the feature I wish it has is for example for the smart lights or plugs you will need an iPad you leave at home along with the Apple HomePod in order to control them. With Alexa or Google Home all you need is to set up the Hub that comes with the smart devices. Most of the lacking features Apple just needs to push software updates to enable them. One of the common issues at the moment is the struggle to pair it with the iPhoneX the solution at the moment is paring it with an older iPhone. The HomePod has a closed system at them moment where you are forced to the apple music subscription. You can not use Spotify or Google Music or youtube like with the Google Home or Alexa. The quality is up their worth the price tag but not the functions you can get more functionality from the other smart speakers. I feel in a way Apple should have waited to refine the HomePod with all the functionality out of the box. Overall I would say to hold off on buying the HomePod until these features gets released or until HomePod 2 comes out.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 VS iPhone X
As we may have heard with these two phones it is the battle of who can make the best phone overall. Lets start by giving some specs iPhone X comes equipped with a 5.8 inch OLED display which makes the display super sharp and can the black levels the best comparing it to prior iPhones that shipped with LCD displays. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 on the other hand is not the first phone to have Super AOLED the prior models have come with it making Samsung perfect the technology even more. They are both carry a dual camera system 12 megapixels to be exact. Below I will put photos so you can see the quality of the Cameras side by side. The phones are snappy and will not slow down. Both phones carry wireless charging. Something I have noticed with both phones is when it comes to battery life the Samsung Galaxy Note8 comes out clear winner. The iPhoneX sometimes you have to charge towards the end of the day. Android is more open sourced system which is also a plus and the fact that Samsung Kept the fingerprint reader in the front. The other advantage is since both phones come with 64 GB built in on the base model the iPhoneX there is no way to add more memory, but on the Samsung Galaxy Note8 you can add a Micro SD Card up to 2 TB which is a huge plus so you are not stuck with the memory you bought the phone with. Form testing the glass on the Samsung Galaxy Note8 and frame over all tends to hold up to drops and wear and tear more than the Apple iPhoneX. Both phones it would be recommended the you get a case the one I currently am using and have been using is the is the RhinoShield [CrashGuard], and ZAGG Glass Screen Protector. Now down below are the photos or the respective phones.
